You can own freehold property in Dubai without moving. We shortlist the right homes, explain the reservation and the sales and purchase agreement, route your payments through UAE channels and follow the registration until the title is in your name.

Quick answer
Can a Pakistani citizen buy property in Dubai? Yes. Foreign nationals, including Pakistani citizens and overseas Pakistanis, can buy freehold property in Dubai's designated areas and hold the title in their own name. You do not need a UAE visa to buy and you do not have to travel. The price is paid into the developer's escrow account (off-plan) or through a Dubai Land Department trustee office (resale), and ownership is registered with the Dubai Land Department (DLD).
To buy property in Dubai from Pakistan, the main points to plan are how the money reaches the UAE, how you sign, and which documents you send. This page explains each one.
Who you will be dealing with
MrRealEstate focuses on buying and selling property in Dubai and across the UAE. We work with buyers who are not in the country, so every step is set up for calls, video and documents sent by email.
Why buyers from Pakistan choose Dubai
Dubai is a short flight from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. Many Pakistani families already have relatives, work or business there, and the freehold system lets a foreigner own the property outright. The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar, which some buyers prefer when they compare it with other markets.
The hard part is rarely the property. It is doing a large purchase from another country: who holds your deposit, who checks the contract, and what happens when you cannot be in the room. A guided remote purchase answers those questions before you commit.

What the service covers
One point of contact for the whole purchase, with each step explained before you pay or sign.
A short list that fits your budget, purpose and area, with live video walk-throughs so you see the unit, the building and the street.
We compare similar units, negotiate the offer and explain the reservation form, the booking amount and what is refundable before you pay.
We walk you through the sales and purchase agreement: payment schedule, handover date, penalties and your rights, in plain language.
Money goes to named accounts only: the developer's escrow account for off-plan, the trustee office for a resale, with a receipt for every payment.
We follow the Oqood registration of an off-plan contract, or the DLD transfer of a resale, until your title deed is issued.
If you prefer not to travel for the signing, we explain how a power of attorney for a named representative works and what must be attested.
Two types of buyers
The Dubai side of the purchase is the same. What differs is where your funds start and which rules apply to moving them.
Our role: we give you the exact beneficiary, amount and payment reference in the UAE. We do not give exchange-control or tax advice.
Our role: we match the payment route to your situation and keep the receipts together. See also our page for buyers from India and from Canada.
The process
Timing depends on whether you buy ready or off-plan and on your payment method. The order stays the same. Our detailed guide to a remote property purchase in Dubai goes deeper on each stage.
Tell us your budget, purpose (home, rental or both), preferred areas and timeline, and how you plan to pay. A call or WhatsApp chat is enough to start.
You receive options with prices, sizes, service charges and ready or off-plan status. We then show the best ones live on video and answer your questions on the spot.
We submit your offer, negotiate terms and explain the reservation form. You pay the booking amount only to the account named in the document.
We go through the sales and purchase agreement with you. You sign electronically where the developer allows it, in person in Dubai, or through a representative holding a power of attorney.
Instalments go to the developer's escrow account. A resale balance is paid through the DLD trustee office. We confirm each payment against the schedule.
An off-plan contract is registered through Oqood. A resale is transferred at the trustee office once the balance is paid.
You receive the title deed in Dubai once the property is complete and registered, followed by snagging, utilities and service charge set-up.
Signing from abroad
Which one applies depends on the developer, the seller and the DLD process for your deal. We confirm the accepted method before you pay.
| Method | How it works | Points to check | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Electronic signing | The developer sends the reservation form and SPA for a digital signature, and you sign from your phone or laptop. | Only some developers and deal types allow it. Read the full document first. | Off-plan purchases from developers with online booking. |
| Short trip to Dubai | You fly in for one or two days to sign, view the property and complete the transfer. | Plan the trip around the trustee office appointment. | Resale purchases and buyers who want to see the home once. |
| Power of attorney | You authorise a named person to sign for you in Dubai under a document attested for UAE use. | Define exactly what the representative may do. Attestation steps differ by country. | Buyers who cannot travel and trust a representative. |

Costs and payment
Set your budget with the full cost in mind, and keep currency conversion and bank charges on your side of the transfer in the calculation.
Amounts and rules are set by the authorities, developers and banks and can change. See the full list in our guide to the cost of buying property in Dubai. If you plan to borrow, read about a mortgage in Dubai for non-residents. Approval and terms are decided by the bank, not by us.
Paperwork
The list varies by developer and deal. Most buyers from Pakistan prepare the following.
Choose areas that allow foreign ownership. Foreign buyers can own freehold in designated zones only. Check the list in our freehold areas guide before you reserve.
Residency note. Buying property does not by itself give you a UAE visa. Some purchases may qualify for a long-term visa if they meet the conditions, so check Golden Visa by property before you assume eligibility.
Why work with us
FAQ
Yes. Pakistani citizens and overseas Pakistanis can buy freehold property in Dubai's designated areas and register it in their own name. You do not need a UAE residence visa to buy, and you do not need to relocate.
Often yes. You can view by video, sign electronically where the developer allows it, or appoint a representative with a power of attorney. Some resale transfers still require signing at the trustee office, so we confirm the accepted method before you pay.
Payments go to named UAE accounts: the developer's escrow account for off-plan, or the DLD trustee office for a resale. How money leaves Pakistan is governed by Pakistani rules, so speak to your bank and a tax adviser first. We provide the exact beneficiary and reference.
Not always. Many purchases are paid by international bank transfer from your own account. A UAE account can simplify later payments, rent collection and service charges, but it is not a condition for buying freehold property.
Typically a valid passport copy and proof of funds. Developers, banks and the trustee office may ask for more, such as bank advice for each transfer. If a representative signs for you, you also need an attested power of attorney.
Expect the 4 percent DLD transfer fee, agent commission on most resales, a trustee or Oqood fee, and yearly service charges after purchase. Your bank may also charge for conversion and transfers. We list the figures in your shortlist.
UAE banks do lend to non-residents, usually with a lower loan-to-value limit, but approval and terms are the bank's decision. We cannot promise an outcome. You pay the down payment and fees from your own funds, so ask a bank for a pre-approval first.
Not automatically. Some property purchases may qualify for a long-term visa when they meet the value and other conditions set by the authorities. Check the current rules before you buy and do not assume eligibility.
Send us your budget, preferred areas and timeline. We will reply with options, the payment route and the costs to expect, and book a video call when you are ready. Want the general overview first? Read how to buy property in Dubai.
